BooneBerry Press is a veteran-owned independent publisher creating original fantasy worlds, tabletop roleplaying adventures, and stories built around meaningful choices and memorable characters.
Our first project, Holiday: The Shattered Cheer, is a dark-whimsical fantasy campaign being developed for the 2024 fifth-edition rules.
Built for the Table
BooneBerry Press is being built around a simple principle: an adventure should not only be enjoyable to read—it should work when a Game Master actually puts it on the table.
Our goal is to create campaigns where player decisions produce visible consequences, different approaches are genuinely supported, important information is usable during play, and the story remains strong even when the players do something unexpected.
Before publication, our goal is to put our adventures through outside Game Master feedback, playtesting, usability reviews, and continued revision to make sure they work at the table.
What Matters to Us
Player Choice: Adventures should respond to what the players actually do rather than forcing every group toward one predetermined solution.
Strong Themes: Mechanics, locations, characters, and conflicts should reinforce what an adventure is actually about.
Game Master Usability: Important information should be organized so that the person running the game can find and use it when it matters.
Thorough Testing: Major encounters, campaign systems, player options, alternate approaches, and long-term consequences should be tested outside the designer's own table before publication.
Our Beginnings
BooneBerry Press began with the development of Holiday: The Shattered Cheer, an original fantasy tabletop roleplaying campaign inspired by the idea that familiar celebrations could become the foundation for an entirely new world.
What started as a single campaign has grown into a veteran-owned independent publishing company focused on original fantasy worlds, meaningful player choices, memorable characters, and adventures designed to work at the table.
Our First Project
Holiday: The Shattered Cheer
A dark-whimsical fantasy tabletop campaign set across the fractured kingdoms of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Players explore a world of distorted traditions, face difficult decisions, and discover how their choices shape what comes next.
