About BooneBerry Press
BooneBerry Press is an independent tabletop roleplaying game publisher created to develop ambitious campaign-length adventures with strong thematic worlds, meaningful player choices, and practical tools for Game Masters.
Our first project, Holiday: The Shattered Cheer, is a dark-whimsical fantasy campaign being developed for the 2024 fifth-edition rules.
Built for the Table
BooneBerry Press is being built around a simple principle: an adventure should not only be enjoyable to read—it should work when a Game Master actually puts it on the table.
Our goal is to create campaigns where player decisions produce visible consequences, different approaches are genuinely supported, important information is usable during play, and the story remains strong even when the players do something unexpected.
Development includes extensive playtesting, outside Game Master feedback, usability testing, and continued revision before publication.
What Matters to Us
Player Choice: Adventures should respond to what the players actually do rather than forcing every group toward one predetermined solution.
Strong Themes: Mechanics, locations, characters, and conflicts should reinforce what an adventure is actually about.
Game Master Usability: Important information should be organized so that the person running the game can find and use it when it matters.
Thorough Testing: Major encounters, campaign systems, player options, alternate approaches, and long-term consequences should be tested outside the designer's own table before publication.

BooneBerry Press was founded by Justin Armstrong, creator and designer of Holiday: The Shattered Cheer.
BooneBerry Press began with the development of Holiday and is being built as a home for campaign-length tabletop roleplaying games focused on strong themes, player agency, and practical Game Master support.

Holiday: The Shattered Cheer
A dark-whimsical fantasy campaign in which heroes journey through corrupted realms of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's to restore the shattered spirit of celebration.
